Aluminium Column Casings: Flat Extension Panels

The Skyline Universal Flat Extender Panel is designed as a modular system for use with the main Column Casings System. The flat extender panels come in 3 standard widths: 500mm, 750mm and 1,000mm, and are supplied in 3m lengths as standard. Each panel comes complete with additional top/bottom inner collar, plus an infill strip. Bespoke sizes can also be made to order. The innovative Skyline range has been cleverly designed to allow for a modular construction, thereby simplifying the design and installation process. Flat extension panels are available to create elongated columns and wall features.

The Skyline range of aluminium column casings meets all the challenges of hiding unsightly structural construction elements such as steelwork, concrete, timber, and service ducts. The secret-fix design can be fitted on columns externally or within the building to provide a visually appealing, highly durable and maintenance-free finish. The striking sharp clean lines combined with an almost endless choice of colours is the perfect choice for transforming interior spaces and creating dramatic exterior design features. Skyline Column Casings provide a robust, ecological solution for low maintenance and lifetime value. The Skyline system is suitable for use on both new build and retrofit applications.

At the Coping Superstore, we believe in providing you with choice, which is why on top of the 25+ colour options that we offer as standard, we also offer a dual colour option on all column casings as well as bespoke sizing and RAL/BS colours at a small surcharge (call us for more information on these services). All Alumasc Skyline Column Casings are made in a plain mill or unfinished and then coated using a state-of-the-art polyester powder coating process which allows us to offer an additional 26 colours. Most colours are available with a matt finish, gloss is available in black and silver colours and textured finishes are also possible on selected colours.

Skyline’s versatile secret fix design allows for fixing to wood or steel mullions, providing installers and designers with a quick and reliable way of transforming unsightly structural elements. Each casing in made up of three basic components: Casing, Inner Collar (top & bottom) and infill strip. Colour options include a UniColour option, where all components are the same colour, or a DuoColour option, where two colours can be specified. All of Alumasc Skyline column casings are made from lightweight high-quality aluminium which, while being a relatively new material, has become the worlds second most used metal after steel. It is known as the magic metal because of its unique physical, chemical, and mechanical properties which make it also ideal for use in coping, fascia, soffit and guttering systems.

All of our products are manufactured to order. We keep sheet material in stock ready to be manufactured. As such we aim to manufacture and despatch items within the following time frames after order confirmation*

  • Galvanised, Black/Anthracite PPC rainwater guttering: 3-5 days,
  • Milled coping products: 5-7 days,
  • Milled fascia/soffit products: 15 working days from drawing approval,
  • PPC coloured coping/soffit/fascia products: 8-10 days,
  • Other PPC and Copper/Zinc guttering products: 15 days
